In addition to identifying food borne diseases such as E. coli and Salmonella supermarkets will be able to recognize the presence of synthetic pesticides to validate produce labeled “organic” is accurate and other food quality attributes such as freshness.
Restaurants: a scanner specifically for the restaurant industry. It is the Company’s vision that restaurants in the future will have a SafetySpect inspected sticker at the entry of their establishments (and in their advertisements).
Consumer App: mobile device (smartphone) based deployment for consumer awareness and ability to scan food for harmful ingredients and more importantly items that cause allergic reactions such as peanuts.
Cloud Based Monitoring Portal: will alert authorities of pending food borne illness outbreaks and potential terrorism-related scenarios affecting the food supply chain. Real time monitoring of scans will allow production facilities to monitor and analyze data.
There is testing done all the way from the farm to the fork. Food companies want to sell safe products, but they also want to protect their brand name, which is most directly influenced by a recall
