CSI-D+ Detects and Neutralizes Surface Contamination in Real Time
The first to detect respiratory droplets on surfaces using UVC
CSI-D+ was developed to assess and document standard cleaning and disinfection protocols and to provide a spot- sanitization solution for missed or hard-to access areas ensuring the highest level of cleanliness for vulnerable populations and their families.
-
Detects saliva, respiratory droplets and other bodily fluids
-
Disinfects with UVC light in seconds
CSI-D+ versus other disinfection methods
UVGI room disinfection**
Liquid chemicals
(bleach, other liquid disinfectants)
Gaseous chemicals
(peroxide, ozone, etc)
Use in presence of staff + patients*
Minimal training required
Chemical and consumable free
Treatment time less than 1 minute
* When wearing proper personal protective equipment
** UVGI stands for ultraviolet germicidal irradiation

Benefits of CSI-D+
Infection control and patient/resident safety
-
Reduce hospital-associated infection (HAI) rates through identification and spot UVC disinfection of problem areas
-
Protect residents and staff
Cost savings
-
Assess cleanliness in real time
-
Reduce costs of consumables (swabs, chemicals, etc)
-
Integrate with Sanitization Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
-
Improve quality of employee training
Enhances or Replaces ATP swabs and Complements Fluorescent Marking Gel
Here we see areas before and after cleaning. CSI-D+ can easily distinguish between them based on the average relative luminescence units (RLU) in each square. Respiratory droplets can also clearly be seen in the dirty image.
Maintain regulatory compliance
-
Integrate with Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs
-
Objective, quantifiable cleanliness data
-
AI algorithms model oubreaks and spread
-
Data-driven decision making and risk assessment
-
Reduce CMS F-tags
Establish a reputation for a clean, safe environment
-
Increase satisfaction of long-term care residents
-
Improve survey results
-
Boost employee productivity

CSI-D+ Across the Healthcare System
CSI-D+ deactivates common pathogens in seconds
Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria (top row) and Aspergillus fumagatus mold (bottom row) are deactivated in culture in a few seconds.
CSI detects stubborn food residues in hospital and senior care cafeterias
Bottom row shows what we can observe by eye after cleaning olive oil from a cutting board. Even after standard sanitization procedures, a faint residue of oil is detected with CSI. These residues can harbor bacteria and lead to biofilms.
Use CSI as an auditing tool with fluorescent marking pens
Invisible fluorescent marking pens and gels are commonly used to test the thoroughness of the cleaning staff and training effectiveness. CSI provides an objective time-stamped visual record of these spot-cleaning checks. Here we see a thermostat with red marks from an invisible marking gel.
